Error description

  • When you playback a GUI script, IBM Rational Robot does not
prompt you to overwrite the script.
Before you playback, you set Tools ? GUI Playback Options ? Log
? Log Data ? Prompt before overwite Log.

    Steps To Reproduce
    1. Start Robot in Standalone Mode.
    2. Record a Script ? play it back.
    3. Once the Script is played back Log gets generated and opens
in IE in an XML format.
    4. Now, close the XML Format Robot Log.
5 Run the same Robot Script again
    6. Observe that Robot Script does NOT ask whether you want to
over-write the LOG that was previously generated.

    NOTES:
This behavior is expected. In other words, you cannot overwrite
the log. The reason is that it would break the integration with
IBM Rational Quality Manager otherwise. In the latter product,
    you cannot overwrite logs.

The change request's purpose is to remove the option to prompt
    before overwriting the log.

To workaround the problem you can add code to your script to
backup the log before, you run the same script again. For an
    example:
