PM26752: WSRP Resource Proxy Servlet works with Firefox but not IE

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When using portal 6.1 WSRP ResourceProxy servlet out of the
  box to render the binary content from back end system, the
  call works in FireFox version 3.6.x but not working in IE6
  or IE 8. The iframe shows blank response in the browser, while
  Firefox shows the correct PDF.
  

Local fix

• Two possibilities here:
  - server sets content length header
  - server returns HTTP 1.1 response instead of HTTP 1.0 with
  either content-length header or with chunked encoding (what
  most HTTP servers do)
  

Problem summary

• When using portal 6.1 WSRP ResourceProxy servlet out of the

Problem conclusion

• Changed handling of protocol parameters to properly handle
