PM26118: EJB reference type is over-translated in Web Deployment Descriptor Editor

Error description

• Problem description:
  
  In Web Application Deployment Descriptor Editor, the EJB
  Reference Type field causes invalid action as follows;
  
  1. The literal strings of combo box selection on the EJB
  Reference Type field are translated to Japanese. They should not
  be Japanese, but should be English such as 'Session' or
  'Entity'.
  
  2. The validation of the EJB Reference Type field is not
  correct.
  When the value 'Session' in English is on the field, the error
  saying invalid selection on the editor is occurred.
  When the value Session in Japanese is selected on the field, the
  following errors are occurred.
    (1) Invalid selection error on the Web Application Deployment
  Descriptor Editor
    (2) Invalid value of ?ejb-ref-type? in web.xml because the
  value is Japanese
  
  The value of ?ejb-ref-type? in web.xml should be in English,
  regardless of the selection value of EJB Reference Type field is
  translated or not.

  In the Web Deployment Descriptor Editor the EJB Reference
  Type field will show the English value.  If the translated
  type is selected then the translated value will be inserted
  into the web.xml file and cause errors.
  

Problem conclusion

• The Web Deployment Descriptor Editor was modified to insert
  the correct English value of the EJB Reference type into the
  web.xml deployment descriptor file.
  
  This is fixed in Rational Application Developer v8.0.2.
