The Synergy CLI in 7.1.02, 7.1a and earlier does not wrap
external tool commands in a shell. So if you use a command
that uses a shell feature such as stream redirection or
    piping, the command will fail.

Problem conclusion

  • Fixed in Synergy 7.2
