APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When using Remote z/OS search against a large member of more
than 1000 lines, in a Data Set or multiple Data Sets or when
member pattern is specified it may take RDz some time to
complete so a warning message will be added to notify the user
before the request is sent.

  • Text search took long time, and caused high cpu usage.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • The RDz client was fixed to display warning message for text
search.  A user can decide to proceed or cancel.

The problem listed in this APAR has been resolved with
IBM Rational Developer for System z V7.6.2.1 Fix Pack which
is available from the Recommended Fixes support download page:
