Error description

• Advanced Interactive eXecutive v5.3 Real Application Clusters
  v8.2.2/8.3 standalone agent results in maximum 2GB trace file
  (*.trcxml) and appears to hang.
  
  There is no checking by the Rational Agent Controller on write
  to the trace file that the 2GB limit has hit.

  trace file (*.trcxml) and appears to hang.
  

Problem conclusion

• This problem was opened to track the usability aspect, which
  is that the profiler did not check the return code of the
  write operation when the file became too large. The Profiler
  now prints a proper warning when this limit is hit.
  
  The fix for this APAR is included in the Rational Agent
  Controller version 8.3.2.
