PM25171: REPORTS RETURNING NO DATA AFTER UPGRADE TO COGNOS 8.4.1

APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • The Environment has been upgraded from Cognos BI 8.2 to 8.4.1.
    Two reports are not retrieving data in 8.4.1, all others reports
    run properly. The database is MS SQL 2005. ????The SQL being
    generated is different for the reports in 8.2 than when run in
    8.4.1from one environment to the other.   ????All data source
    connections test successfully.  Model verifies successsfully.
    No error messages appear when running the report in 8.4.1.
    Recreating the report in 8.4.1 successfully returns data.
    Removing filters on reports in question returns no data.
