  Description.
  Debugging a deployed EGL webservice application which uses an
  RUI interface after the WebSphere server is started in debug
  mode the debugging operation does not startup up but there is no
  error output or termination dialog produced to indicate this
  condition or any reason for the apparent failure.

  When WAS or Tomcat are in debug mode, and you try to debug a
  program (or a service from a RUI client), the debugger gets
  stuck in the startup phase and doesn't actually run. It
  appears hung.
  

Problem conclusion

• Having a server in debug mode no longer affects non-J2EE
  debug processes from starting up successfully.
