Error description

  • When attempting to open a remote cube in PowerPlay Client, the
    cube package must be placed into a folder that the user has read
    access to.?If this condition is not met the PowerPlay Client
    user wlil be presented with the error message: PDS-RM-0001 A
    timeout occurred while waiting for a response.??This permission
    requirement is unique to PowerPlay 8 and does not represent
    requirements of the core Cognos BI components such as Analysis
    Studio or Report Studio.
    

Local fix

  • Alter permissions on the parent folder to ensure users have Read
     access.
