    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: TCP/IP connection problems when a lot *
    * of events are sent to the TEP. *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION: APPLY THE PTF FIXING THIS APAR *
    ****************************************************************
When thousands of events have to be sent to the TEP it can
occur that the TCP/IP connection with the Universal Agent is
broken and various occurrences of the MSG EQQMH18E reporting
either TCP/IP error code 140 or 157 are logged in controller
    MLOG.
This issue can trigger impossibility for the controller to
reconnect the Universal Agent when that agent is recycled,
so that the controller has to be recycled to recreated the
    connection.

Problem conclusion

  • Both the problems have been solved, now it is possible to send
thousands of events to the TEP without getting TCP/IP errors.
The controller is able to automatically recreate the connection
with the Universal Agent when that agent is recycled.
