APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • If you set up a consumer root in the system.xml file you
    non-administrative users can use packages that are in the root
    of the public folders with the BI Studios (QS for example).
    However, in Powerplay client, the user is only able to use
    packages that are physically located within the consumer root.
    This is inconsistent across our products. Further, in Powerplay
    client, if you log in as a system administrator and choose
    choose "Remote Cube" the first time the administrator logs in,
    we see the root of the public folders. If you go to
    File->new->Remote cube after selecting a package within the
    public folders, we are restricted to the content of the consumer
    root.  ??
