PM21393: PZN PERFORMANCE OR OOM FOR PERSONALIZATION PICKER TREE VIEW WITH COLLAPSED NODES WITH LARGE NUMBER OF CHILD NODES

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• PZN having performance issue or Out of Memory issue coming from
  the Personalization Picker while in Tree View.  If the a
  collapsed display node in the Tree View Navigator has a large
  number of children, PZN was processing large amounts of data.
  

Local fix

• Updated the code to Filter or limit the amount of information
  that was processed on unexpanded nodes in the tree view
  navigation within the Picker.
  

Problem summary

• PZN having performance issue or Out of Memory issue coming from
  the Personalization Picker while in Tree View. If a collapsed
  display node in the Tree View Navigator has a large number of
  children, PZN was processing large amounts of data, slowing
  performance and possibly maxing out Heap space.
  

Problem conclusion

• Modified code to limit node types retrieved.
