Error description

  • TD# 34679

    DOORS 9.2, QC 10, QCI 3.4.0.1

Create a module in DOORS with two objects
Create a Task to sync this module to QC and then execute the
    sync
You notice in QC, under the Requirements tab it creates a parent
object for the module then beneath that creates two child
objects representing the two objects from the module
Now, re-open the DOORS module and move object 1 to be after
    object 2
    Re-sync the QCI task
It look as if the sync completes, but if you look at the sync
    summary you notice:
          ?ObjectError?
    Move failed for TD
    id:TD:http\://usir-citrxsup\:8081/qcbin/:DEFAULT:new10:REQ:7 to
    (same) parent
    TD:http\://usir-citrxsup\:8081/qcbin/:DEFAULT:new10:REQ:5
    Move failed for TD
    id:TD:http\://usir-citrxsup\:8081/qcbin/:DEFAULT:new10:REQ:6 to
    (same) parent
    TD:http\://usir-citrxsup\:8081/qcbin/:DEFAULT:new10:REQ:5?/Objec
    tError?

And if you now do a refresh in QC, you will notice that for some
reason those 2 module objects are now at the root level of the
Requirements tab and no longer a child object of the parent
    module object.

Workaround is to do a subsequent sync and the requirements are
    restored in proper order.

    ****************************************************************
When executing a synch task which has requirements that have
been moved around in the DOORS module, the synch throws an
error and the requirements are re-arranged in QC.

Problem conclusion

  • The code has been changed so that the synch no longer throws
an error and also the requirements are not re-arranged.
