PM20878: RDz editor displays error with RETURN macro in assembler source

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When a disassembler source with the RETURN statement is viewed
  in the editor the following error is displayed:
  Error:    Required operand missing: T
  Syntax 2: RETURN.
  Error:    Incorrect keyword: RC=0.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• The RETURN and SAVE macros incorrectly display errors as
  follows:
           RETURN (14,12),RC=0
  NAS00390
  Syntax 1: RETURN reg,T,RC=.
  Error:    Required operand missing: T
  Syntax 2: RETURN.
  Error:    Incorrect keyword: RC=0.
            SAVE (14,12)
  Syntax 1: SAVE reg,,[id_name]
  Error:  Required operand missing:
  Syntax 2: SAVE reg,T,[id_name]
  Error: Required operand missing: T
  

Problem conclusion

• The RETURN macro definition in the file
  <install_location>\Config\TPFSHARE\tpfhlasm.dat will be changed
  to
  RETURN [reg],[T],[RC=]
  
  The problem listed in this APAR has been resolved with
  IBM Rational Developer for System z V7.6.2.1 Fix Pack which
  is available from the Recommended Fixes support download page:
