Error description

  • Problem
If you have a DXL attribute based on an enumerated type, you app
ear to be able to edit its values using in-place editing.

In fact no assigned values are retained, the DXL-assigned value
    is kept.

Attempting to edit any other type of DXL attribute is not possib
le, the in-place value fields are greyed out as per read-only at
    tributes.

    To Reproduce
     - create an enumeration type with e.g. 3 values: a, b and c
     - create a DXL attribute based on that type using code such as
    'obj.attrDXLName = 'b' '
     - add a column for the attribute to the view
     - double-click the column for an object, and drop the list of p
    otential values

This list should not be shown, since the values in it can't be a
    ssigned manually.

    Possible Workarounds
    NA, cosmetic

    ****************************************************************
A DXL attribute based on an enumerated type appear to be
able to edit its values using in-place editing but the DXL
generated values are retained once out of the in-place
    editing (or refresh).

Problem conclusion

  • While editing an enumerated attribute, the method that
validates the read/write access of the user does not check
for the DXL attribute type. This is corrected to check if
theattribute is of DXL type. The user will not be able to
    see the drop down now.
