  The procedure to create an iWidget in Rational Application
  Developer v7552 is different, where you have an extra menu
  item to be selected, which was not mentioned. Portal was not
  mentioned in the sequential selection(1. Select
  File-New-Project-Portal-iWidgets Project).
  

Problem conclusion

• Steps to creata a iWidget is corrected, it is changed from
  1. Select File - New - Project - iWidgets Project... To....
  1. Select File - New - Project - Portal - iWidgets Project.
