Error description

  • When adding assets to Rational Asset Manager through Rational
Software Architect, the Publish Asset dialog box displays the
assets as dark/black elements indicating to a user that they
should be able to clear the check box(es) for elements the later
    decide not to add to Rational Asset Manager.  This is incorrect;
they should appear as grayed elements. Elements selected are
based on the Project Explorer selection(s). It is not possible
to deselect UML elements in the Publish Asset dialog box.

There is no workaround for this issue.

    ****************************************************************
When adding assets to Rational Asset Manager through
Rational Software Architect, the Publish Asset dialog box
displays the assets as dark/black elements indicating to the
user that they should be able to clear the check box(es) for
elements and later decide not to add to Rational Asset
Manager. This is incorrect; they should appear as grayed
elements. Elements selected are based on the Project
Explorer selection(s). It is not possible to deselect UML
elements in the Publish Asset dialog box.

Problem conclusion

  • Gray out those elements that are not selectable in the
    publish asset dialog box.

Note: If the checkbox is not selectable, only the
corresponding tree item text will be grayed out, not the
checkbox itself. This is due to an Eclipse platform
    limitation.
