Error description

  • When a dashboard is setup with a Cognos Navigator and Cognos
Viewer component that have been configured to communicate, the
Open in Analysis Studio toolbar link in the viewer will
malfunction.??If the default report for the Cognos Viewer
component is configured to be an Analysis then for the initial
load of the report the Open in Analysis Studio link will
function correctly.  ?Using the navigator to open a different
Analysis causes it to fail with a Javascript error.  Upon
receiving the Javascript error, refreshing the browser using the
Refresh toolbar icon, or using the Refresh hotkey (F5 on most
browsers) will cause the page to reload, and the Open in
Analysis Studio dropdown will display properly.??

Local fix

  • Refreshing the browser window will eliminate the error temporari
ly.
There is no other known workaround.
