Error description

  • An invalid element in the feed causes a NullPointerException,
and the feed status is not correctly updated when the consumer
exits. This can be caused by creating an invalid component or
element type. The code was fixed to handle the error and
correctly report the failure.

Local fix

Problem summary


    

  • A null pointer error thrown when parsing a legacy document
element type caused the feed to remain "consuming" in the UI
when it had failed.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • Fixed the error in parsing the legacy element also added
handling to parser to set failure status when the parser fails.
