APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• There are two fixes included in this APAR:
  1) If (for any reason) a WCI delete action fails the WCI will
  not clear the GUID from the GUID cache for the feed.
  2) A WCI delete action on a Site or SiteArea will remove all
  documents (orphan SiteAreas/Content and delete ContentLinks)
  from the Site or SiteArea prior to deletion. The WCI delete
  action will fail if any child document cannot be removed.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• A WCI delete action on a parent containing children fails. The
  item is not deleted.
  

Problem conclusion

• The WCI has been modified so that when a delete action is
  performed on an item which can have children (Eg a Site,
  SiteArea, Taxonomy or Category) the children are first removed
  from the parent (to the orphans container) before deleting. In
  the special case of a content link child of a SiteArea the
  content link is deleted and not orphaned.
