    CUSTOMER ISSUE:

Can't specify a root directory of a Windows drive as a work area
    path

    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:

When specifying the root directory of a Windows hard drive as
the work area path during Copy Project, the copy fails with the
    following errors:

    ***********
    --- Begin Error Reporting ---

    Copy project canceled.

Invalid work area path - must be absolute

    'C:'

    Deleting new projects....

    Copy Project cancelled.

Copy Project failed: Work Area Path is not writable 'C:'.

    Derive failed for project ProjectA~TEMP_1.6I_20100416:
    project:US1#1'

    Copy Project complete.

    Update complete.

    Closing reconfigure transaction...

    --- End Error Reporting ---

    ***********

What it also does is, it drops the '\' off, and leaves just C:.
This happens for any root-level drive you may have (C:\, D:\,
    etc).
In order to get this to work, you must supply at least one
character after the \, i.e. C:\a will work.

Existing projects which have C:\ as their work area path can be
synced and updated without issue. You just can't copy any new
    projects to C:\.
