Error description

  • Issue description:
    
    The customer is on Synergy 7.1. His environment details are:
    
    Synergy Server: Solaris 10
    Synergy version: Synergy 7.1.0.1.02.
    Synergy client: Windows XP
    Browser: Mozilla Firefox browser 3.6.3.
    
    Mode: Both web-mode and traditional mode.
    
    Customer has set the default browser to Mozilla firefox, and whe
    never he tries to view the online help by clicking on the help i
    con in Synergy web mode,
    the browser opens up, but the help contents are not displayed. H
    owever, this works fine with the Internet Explorer.
    
    Support Testing:
    
    We tested this in our test environment. Here are our findings:

    Test using Mozilla Firefox 2.0.20
    *************
    
    1. Started a Snergy 7.1 web client.
    2. Launched the online help. The help opened up fine.

    Test using Mozilla Firefox 3.6.3
    *************
    
    1. Tried launcing the Synergy online help from Synergy 7.1 web c
    lient. Firefox 3.6.3 set as the default browser.
    2. The browser opened up. But the help contents did not show up.

    whenever he tries to view the online help by clicking on the
    help icon in Synergy web mode, the browser opens up, but the
    help contents are not displayed. However, this works fine
    with the Internet Explorer.
    

Problem conclusion

  • Fixed in Synergy 7.2.
