Error description

• IGYDS1066-S
  When RD/z's "Enable Enterprise Web service" feature creates a
  COBOL source converter from a copybook, if the variable name is
  long then the generated source line goes beyond column 72.
  The valid original is
  01  ABCDEFG.
        03 ZYXWVUTSRQPONMLKJIHGFEDCBA4321  PICTURE X(50).
        03 AAAAAAAAAAAAAABBBBBBBBBBCDE678
             REDEFINES ZYXWVUTSRQPONMLKJIHGFEDCBA4321
             PICTURE A(50).
  The bad result is all on one line. Column 72 is just after the
  letter F below.  Therefore, part of the variable is cut off.
  03 AAAAAAAAAAAAAABBBBBBBBBBCDE678 REDEFINES ZYXWVUTSRQPONMLKJIHG

Local fix

• Manually edit the result.
  

Problem summary

• COBOL language structure serialization does not properly wrap
  REDEFINES clauses.
  

Problem conclusion

• COBOL language structure serialization will be fixed to write
  the name of the REDEFINED item on a new line.
  The problem listed in this APAR has been resolved with
  IBM Rational Developer for System z V7.6.1 Refresh Pack which
  is available from the Recommended Fixes support download page:
