PM10769: RDz Content Assist fails within COBOL copybooks

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• RDz Content Assist and Open Perform Hierarchy does not always
  work.
  For some COBOL-source that has COPY-book the Editor-context
  menu options 'Open Declarations'
  and 'Open Perform-Hierarchy' are not available. Double-clicking
   a variable and right mouse click will cause the following
  'information' in the log:
  CRRZG0050I: Die Verf?gbarkeit konnte nicht gepr?ft werden.
  
  and the context menu is displayed with the entry for 'Open
  Declaration' greyed out. The same happens when you double-click
  the name of a section in a the PERFORM-statement.  Here the
  entry'Open Perform-Hierarchy' in the context menu is greyed
  out.
  In our example the COPY-book contained a whole COBOL-section.
  If a Copy-book is present then there is no COBOL-tooling
  not content assist.  Without the COPY-book COBOL-tooling and
  content assist are available.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• A Copy statement which began or ended a program could cause a
  lookup to fail which would make certain commands such as Open
  Delcaration and Open Perform Hierarchy not work.
  

Problem conclusion

• The problem listed in this APAR has been resolved with
  IBM Rational Developer for System z V7.6.1 Refresh Pack which
  is available from the Recommended Fixes support download page:
