PM10635: Opening RAS Perspective fails to open Asset View

APAR status

Error description

  • The Asset Explorer view does not open automatically with the
opening of the RAS (reusable Asset) Perspective.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Launch Rational Software Architect ( RSA ) in a new
workspace.
2. Open the RAS Perspective

  Window ? Open Perspective ? Other... RAS (Reusable Assets)



Once opened notice that the Asset Explorer View, the primary
view for working with RAS assets, is not opened.

There was some extra information in the product
configuration file that was interfering with the correct
view being displayed.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • The extra information was removed from the configuration
file.

This issue has been fixed in Rational Software Architect
7.5.5.1.
