PM10277: PARENT() FUNCTION NOT WORKING ON MEMBERS OF A POWERCUBE DIMENSION

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The parent() function returns no member (but also no error) when
  used on members of a PowerCube dimension. Nothing is returned.
  Only one dimension of the PowerCube shows this behaviour. This
  dimension is big and partitioned.
  
  This behaviour is reproducable in Cognos 8.4.0 and Cognos 8.4.1.
  
  Workaround: In most cases a calculation like
  ancestor(firstChild(<member>); 2) returns the parent member of
  the <member>.
