Error description

  • Problem description:
When displaying a component with the white box mode, it shows al
l its required and provided interfaces.
In 7.0, they used to be nicely organized, the provided pointing
up, and the required pointing down by default.
In 7.5, it seems that the logic changed, and the provided/requir
ed interfaces are shown starting from the top left, going counte
rclockwise, and without particular ordering between required and
provided interfaces (probably in the order of creation).

Besides the fact that there is no nice separation between provid
ed and required interfaces, the labels on the left are quite bad
ly positioned, and when the number of required/provided interfac
es exceed a certain number (11, depends on the size of the compo
nent shape), the lollipops and sockets decorations overlap. It s
eems that the counter clockwise algorithm stops halfway through.

    Steps to reproduce:
Create a model with a component, and 15 interfaces.
In a diagram, create Interface realizations and Usage relationsh
ips from the component to the interfaces, in a random order
Drop the component on a new diagram, and show it as white box.

Interfaces on components are not laid out correctly.

Problem conclusion

  • This problem has been fixed. The interfaces are now placed
on the north and south sides of the component.
