PM10060: "<" AND ">" IN HTML TAG ARE ESCAPED WHEN HTML OR RICH TEXT IS CREATED BY WCM REMOTE ACTION

Error description

  • When user logs in WCM and then creates HTML or Rich text by WCM
    remote action like below, "<" and ">" in HTML tag are escaped in
    the created HTML or Rich text.

    As the result, all the HTML tags are handled as normal
    characters, and the created HTML or Rich text is not displayed
    correctly.
    
    When user runs WCM remote action before login, "<" and ">" are
    not escaped and the created HTML or Rich text is displayed
    correctly.
    

Local fix

Problem summary

  • Need to decode the url params that contain the component content
    

Problem conclusion

  • Decode the content of any WCM components in MessageParams.java.
