in WEB-INF/lib

Problem summary


    

  • When Apache Axis services or clients are created with the
web services wizard 6 jars are copied into the WEB-INF/lib
folder of the application:  axis.jar,
commons-discovery-0.2.jar, commons-logging.jar, jax-rpc.jar,
saaj.jar and wsdl4j.jar.   Some users may wish to place
their own versions of these jars in their application, and
the web services wizard was over writing these.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • A hidden preference was added that disables this jar
copying.
This preference can be enabled by editing the
?workspace?\.metadata\.plugins\org.eclipse.core.runtime\.set
tings\org.eclipse.jst.ws.axis.consumption.ui.prefs file to
add the line disableAxisJarCopy=true
If this .prefs file does not exist it should be created.
