PM08212: Rational Developer System z , 760 java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBound sException during copybook generation in top down sceanrio

APAR status

Error description

• An exception (java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException) occurs
  when trying to generate copy book from WSDL , using 'Web service
  for CICS' top down approach .This happens only when Japanese
  messages files are used.  This doesn't happen when starting the
  product with English mode specifying -Duser.language=en in
  eclipse.ini.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• Enterprise Service Tools' COBOL comment generation does not
  correctly handle generation of DBCS comments.  The comment
  generator will need to be corrected to support encoding and
  wrapping of DBCS comments with allowance for SI SO control
  chars.
  

Problem conclusion

• COBOL and PL/I comment generation had to be rewritten to support
  DBCS locales.  Basically, line wrapping for comments on DBCS
  locales reserves bytes for each single-byte to double-byte
  transition (SI/SO) so that the lines will not exceed column 72
  when the source file is transferred to z/OS (causing SI/SO to be
  inserted by RSE).
  The problem listed in this APAR has been resolved with
  IBM Rational Developer for System z V7.6.1 Refresh Pack which
  is available from the Recommended Fixes support download page:
