Error description

  • The following error is thrown when the IBMJCECCA hardware crypto
    provider is not loaded correctly:

    This APAR will improve the handling of this load failure.
    
    NOTE: This problem only surfaces when the provider fails to
    load. If your IBMJCECCA provider has already loaded, then you
    are not affected.

Local fix

  • Inspect your JVM installation to ensure that the security
    providers and native DLLs are installed correctly and with the
    appropriate permissions to ensure that the provider is loaded
    correctly.
    

Problem summary

  • When the IBMJCECCA hardware crypto provider is not loaded
    correctly, the exception message does not indicate the name of
    the library that did not load.
    

Problem conclusion

  • This defect will be fixed in:
    6.0.0 SR9
    .
    The IBMJCECCA hardware crypto provider has been updated so that
    when the provider is not loaded correctly, the exception message
    will indicate the name of the library that did not load.
    .
    To obtain the fix:
    Install build 20100512 or later
