Error description

• Oracle is missing from the list of 'Select a database manager'
  This is in the Data perspective.  This started happening after
  the customer upgraded from RD/z 7.6 to 7.6.0.1.  Choose
  Data Perspective / Data source explorer view /
  Right-click Database connections / New /
  New Connection / Connection parameters /
  Select a database manager.

Local fix

Problem summary

• The com.ibm.datatools.connection.ui.oracle plugin was refactored
  into a new feature which was not packaged in RDz 7.6.0.1.
  

Problem conclusion

• RDz 7.6.1 will include the new
  com.ibm.datatools.connections.oracle.extensions feature, which
  includes the com.ibm.datatools.connection.ui.oracle plugin.
  This will restore the Oracle functions in the Data perspective.
  The problem listed in this APAR has been resolved with
  IBM Rational Developer for System z V7.6.1 Refresh Pack which
  is available from the Recommended Fixes support download page:
