Error description

  • Customer added following rows into RLST, but the query still
    running in parallelism in SPUFI.

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When RLF governing for parallelism is *

    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    RLF Governing can be used to disable parallelism exploitation
    when a qualified dynamic statement is being executed. However,
    this parallelism restriction by RLF does not always correctly
    disable parallelism due to an uninitialized internal variable,
    causing an unpredicted behavior in RLF parallelism disablement.

Problem conclusion

  • DB2 code has been modified to ensure proper setting of the
    internal variable to correctly contain the information for
    parallelism disablement using RLF governor.
