PM04840: PDS-PPE-0104 ARITHMETIC OVERFLOW ERROR WHEN RUNNING CHART REPORT WITH VERY LARGE NUMBERS

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Very large numbers (> 99,999,999,999) display in scientific
  notation (e.g.,3.2490E+12) rather than as numbers in line data.
  Totals of columns that include such numbers also display in
  notation.  Charts that attempt to plot such large numbers fail
  with an arithmetic overflow error:

  We know that the product has a limitation on significant digits
  but even dividing by something like 1000000 still gives the
  error on the FIRST run but a second run with query caching
  enabled has the report render correctly.
  
  We would expect the behavior to be consistent - either always
  work or always fail with an error and logical explanation

Problem conclusion

• The logic of cached query reusing was fixed. The repetitive exec
  ution of the report returns the same error message regardless of
   whether query caching is enabled or not.
