Error description

  • RD/z incorrectly interprets a 31-bit address with the high order
    bit on in remote debugger perspective
    

Local fix

Problem summary

  • The debug UI would take addresses in the memory view and send
    them to the Debug Tool engine as they appear in the UI
    

Problem conclusion

  • The debug UI needs to pass addresses to Debug Tool to verify
    they are valid.  In this specific case Debug Tool will modify
    the address to make it valid.
    The modified address is then used for memory content retrieval
    and display.
    The problem listed in this APAR has been resolved with
    IBM Rational Developer for System z V7.6.1 Refresh Pack which
    is available from the Recommended Fixes support download page:
