If you do a Run SQL from  a data development project (in the  Da
ta Project Explorer view)
against an existing DB connection (in Data Source Explorer) with
 the password properties
field being empty, and specify the password on the field in the
id/password dialog that pops up on Run SQL ,it will not be passe
d in and fails  with an  error dialog pop-up :

Could not connect to SAMPLE.
  Error creating SQL Model Connection connection to SAMPLE. (Err
or: [jcc][t4][10107][11233][3.53.95] Password length, 0, is not
allowed.
ERRORCODE=-4461, SQLSTATE=42815)
