With a specific workspace/set of projects, the dialog available
in the Server View:

Add/Remove projects

shows an empty window instead of showing the list of EARs that c
an be added to the server.

This occurs only with a WebSphere Portal server, not with Websph
ere Application Server.

Problem summary


    

  • This problem occurs whenever a we try to add project having
2 parent modules (Membership in 2 ears) to portal server. To
get parent modules for the project it calls the
WPServer.getRootModules() which sets the second module to be
null. So  it results in Null pointer exception in WST  code.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • Fixed in Rational Application Developer V7.5.5
