Error description

  • Currently the date format for all ReqPro projects is hardcoded t
    o
country code ISO 3166 (Country US) standards in the config.txt f
    ile.
The US format - example 09/11/10 - is not acceptable. We must h
    ave a
format like 26 Oct 09. We do not mind having this format hardcod
    ed for
    all Requisite Pro projects.

Local fix

Problem summary

  • Currently the date format for all ReqPro projects is
    hardcoded to
country code ISO 3166 (Country US) standards in the
    config.txt file.
The US format - example 09/11/10 - is not acceptable. We
    must have a
    format like 26/10/2009.

We consider this as defect while dates are not identical as
    date on thick client

Also from our information the date format should match the
settings define in Config.txt under C:\Program
    Files\IBM\RationalSDLC\profiles\profile2\installedApps\Defau
    ltNode\ReqWeb.ear\ReqWeb.war\WEB-INF\classes
but these settings are apparently not readed

    steps to reproduce

    1) test in thick client:
         a- open traditional
    sample case
         b- open a
    requirement properties
         c- check the
revision date -? date= system date
    2) proceed the same on requisiteweb
              date = US format even
    if Country has been changed
              On requisiteweb you
can even see the last saved date been US format even when
config.txt has been saved to Fr as language and FR as
    Country for example

Problem conclusion

  • Date format hardcoded to US format by default, so ReqWeb
will show in the Revision Date always this format date.
