Error description

• Description:
  The problem is that if the site area and its default content are
  provide on different pages of the seedlist, there's no way for
  WCM to track whether the item has already been provided for
  crawling.
  
  
  Because of that, since the site area and the content do not have
  the same path, the portal crawler will treat them as 2 different
  items. This APAR will provide additional parameter which will
  disable site areas url to be part of wcm seedlist or set it to
  not crawlable.
  
  It is more so unexpected results issue and there are no
  exceptions or stack trace for it.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• In some instances, the WCM SearchSeedlist will return the site
  area and its default
  content as 2 separate links, even though they represent the same
  search result.
  

Problem conclusion

• WCM already filters out duplicate results, however if the
  site area and its default content are listed on 2 separate pages
  of seed list results
  they can both show up in the seedlist.
