APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• In Cognos 8.3.FP4,go to Run with options of a report and check
  on  Send me the report by email  option; then run the report.
  The error message shows up:
  
  RSV-DST-0004 You must save the report output before you can mail
  a report link.
  
  Save a report version and repeat the step, the error message is
  still on.
  
  The issue was not able to be replicated in Cognos 8.3 RTM

Problem conclusion

• There were two issues that needed to be fixed for this issue. 1)
   The send a report by email delivery option should not appear fo
  r the anonymous user on the basic run with options page. Also, f
  or an authenticated user we were generating options to both send
   a link and send the report as an attachment, while also generat
  ing the option to NOT save the output. The indent from the basic
   run with options page was to simply send the report as an attac
  hment. This has been corrected.
  
  Fixed in Cognos BI 10.1
