APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • After running a report in Cognos Viewer client selects "Email
Report" in the "Keep this version option"

When client uses the "Select the recipients" option the "Include
a link to the report option" disappears.

When the client clicks ok to send the report by e-mail all
recipients do receive the e-mail but without a link to the
report.

No attachment of the report is included either.

Client has to manually add the e-mail addresses of the
recipients in order to preserve the option of "Including a link
to the report"

This means that the client is unable to send to a distribution
list that has been defined in Cognos.

This error also occurs when the client is attempting to send
"Output Versions of the report"

Local fix

  • Manually enter the e-mail addresses of recipients
