Error description

  • Customer has installed RAD V7.5.3 and when customer try to
modify source file (java/html/jsp) in RAD its (javaw.exe) CPU
usage goes to 70 - 100%.

  • 



Problem summary


    

  • The user was encountering a dramatic slowdown in RAD while
typing in source editors (Java specifically).

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • Increased the processing delay after the keyboard is idle to
3.5 sec to avoid processing Java deltas from the breadcrumbs
navigation bar.

Fix delivered in Rational Application Developer V7.5.4
