    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    When eXtreme Scale clients and servers are run in WebSphere
    Application Server processes, the WebSphere Application Server
    transaction component enlists the server as a resource during
    client to server communication. The WebSphere transaction
    component rolls back the WebSphere transaction when the
    transaction duration is longer than the configured WebSphere
    transaction timeout value. The eXtreme Scale client code was
    changed to prevent the WebSphere transaction component from
    enlisting eXtreme Scale servers as resources in the WebSphere
    transaction.

Problem conclusion

Temporary fix

  • Suspend the WebSphere transaction before calling any eXtreme
    Scale client operations.
