PK93485: ADDING MAPS AND ORGANIZING THEM WITHIN NEW FOLDERS FOR VIEW IN RS. STRING ID NOT FOUND: IDS_MAP_GROUP_LABEL_NEWFOLDER

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• By following the instructions in the Documentation for the  MAP
  MANAGER INSTALLATION AND USER GUIDE, part 'Change the Position
  of a Map File in the Report Studio Map Selection Dialog', page
  18, on the Step 3the new created folder for maps will not be
  accessible from the Report Studio. Also, in some case you might
  get an error:
  "String ID not found: IDS_MAP_GROUP_LABEL_NEWFOLDER "
  

Local fix

• To make the new folder accessible from the RS the step above is
  modified in the following step2 and also step3 is necessary:
  
   1.Place the created cmf file in the cognos/c8/maps directory to
  make it available.
   2.Modify the MapGroups.xml file found in the
  cognos/c8/webcontent/pat/res
  location adding the following tags before the </maps>:
         <folder idsLabel="IDS_MAP_GROUP_LABEL_NEWFOLDER">
  
         <map id="canada.cmf"/>
  
         <map id="italy.cmf"/>
  
         </folder>
  
         </maps>
  
   3.Modify the reportstudio_en.xml found in the
  cognos/c8/webcontent/pat/res location where we inserted the
  following line after the section :
   <section name="RSB" type="UI">
  
    added the following :
   <string id="IDS_MAP_GROUP_LABEL_NEWFOLDER" type="List Item
  
   Label">New Folder</string>
