Problem summary
To display a date on a TextForm, you can use a field with a setting like dateFormat = "dd/MM/yyyy". If you assign a value to that field which has no separator characters, it will be displayed on the form without separators. It will also be displayed on the form without separators if you enter a value into the field without separator characters.
Problem conclusion
The problem has been corrected.
