APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • User has an EGL #sql statement which puts the current time stamp
    into a host varaible.
    The generated cobol only updates a temporary variable, and the t
    arget host variable is unchanged.
    
    Same problem happens with retrieving count(*).
    

Local fix

Problem summary

  • For the sql execute statement, the cobol generator was not
    honoring the output variables, which would be used by the
    select statement, such as current date, current timestamp,
    or count(*)
    

Problem conclusion

  • Software updated. Fixtest available.
