APAR status

Error description

  • In WebSphere Application Server 6.1.0.21 and later, when a
    server has started, in the "Start Display Current Environment"
    section of the SystemOut.log, the output of
    Detailed IFix information may not report correct interim fixes
    applied.
    
    It is not reliable to use this information to determine which
    fixes are installed on your WebSphere Application Server
    installation and it is recommended that the command line tool
    versionInfo or historyInfo be used.
    

Local fix

  • Use the command line tools that come with WebSphere Application
    Server instead of relying on the ifix output in the logs:
    
    versionInfo.sh (or versionInfo.bat)
    
    or
    
    historyInfo.sh (or historyInfo.bat)
