Error description

  • Using Rational Application Developer V7.5.1
After restoring the view a 'calculateLocale' is called. This sho
uld not happen. In standard JSF, a locale is generated while cre
ating the view.
That is in 'createView' of the ViewHandler. There a calculateLoc
ale is called.
After a view is created, the view will be stored using the state
 saving mechanism of JSF. Also the locale will be stored via sta
te saving. When the stored view is restored again, the saved loc
ale will be  applied to the view again. So a 'calculateLocale' i
s not needed and should never happen.

  • Added a new parameter com.ibm.faces.portlet.UPDATE_LOCALE
User can set this parameter as true or false for updating
the locale while restoring the view.

Fix delivered in Rational Application Developer V7.5.3
