Error description
Visio 2002 OLE objects cannot be activated upon double-clicking or trying to open them. Sometimes this works randomly and the object is opened for editing.
Local fix
Possible Workaround: Deleting the files VISIO.BIN and ShapeGallery.mdb (the Visio cache I think) will allow for activation once but not thereafter. So a potential workaround is deleting these files every time.

Problem conclusion
DOORS has upgraded the version of edit control used to handle editing within DOORS, which includes OLE handling, which has resolved this issue.
