Error description

  • The following constraint is present in Rational Software Modeler
    7.5.1:
    
    UML 2.1/UML 2.1 Specification/Activities Package/Control Nodes
    
    Constraint ID: com.ibm.xtools.uml.validation.activity.simple.con
    trolNodeEdges.
    This constraint has error severity and executes in batch (on-dem
    and) mode.
    
    Description:
    The edges coming into and out of a control node must be either a
    ll object flows or all control flows.
    
    Also included in these other categories:
    UML 2.1/Model Quality Dimensions/Correctness
    
    
    When violated, it produces the following entry in the problems V
    iew:
    
    IRJA0053E Control node '?Join Node?' must not have control flows
     and object flows together.
    However this constraint is no longer part of the UML specificati
    on and therefore it should be removed from  the product. See for

Local fix

Problem summary

  • The constraint that edges coming into and out of a control
    node must be either all object flows does not apply for a
    join node.
    

Problem conclusion

  • Fixed in release RSx 753.
    
    The constraint no longer applies to join node.
